Co-Captains

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. We truly enjoyed watching people’s growth over the course of the year, whether that was someone improving on the trampoline, improving in a voluntary role they had undertaken, or simply gaining more confidence within themselves. It was a pleasure to see everyone blossom this year!

  2. We were delighted to be working with such a dedicated group of people on committee this year, who worked their butts off to make everything a more enjoyable experience for everyone! They were absolute stars and gave so much to the club.

  3. We loved sharing the role and the responsibility of captain this year. It was very rewarding to work closely with someone who shared such a passion for the club and a desire to see the club grow and prosper!!

Why should someone go for this role next year?

If you love being a part of UCD Trampoline as much as we do and want to play a part in giving others a chance to have an experience that is as good, if not better than yours has been so far, then who better to lead next year's committee, than you!! Whether you want to steer the club in a new direction or hold to the course that has been set by previous members, if you care about the club, then you can (and should) do it!

Treasurer

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. I really enjoyed working alongside the rest of the committee to organize some really good events this year. Between competitions and charity fundraisers, we've put together a lot of cool things over the last year.

  2. I enjoyed keeping track of all of our money by making some really fun spreadsheets and getting to turn everyone’s name green when they had paid 😎

  3. It was nice to be able to help people out financially either through subsiding events for club members or arranging payment plans with members to reduce any financial stress.

Why should someone go for this role next year?

I found the role of treasurer to be a very fulfilling position and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys working as part of a team, is good at being organised and staying on top of their work, and who has an interest/experience in basic accounting or money management. Being on committee is a great way to get even more involved in the club and provides the opportunity to give back to the club in a really fun way.

Secretary

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. Sending my little monthly emails that approx. 3 people read (soz to the rest of committee that had to proof read them)

  2. Getting to help other committee members with different things, especially getting to organise charity fundraisers with our ENTs, Martina and PRO, Jasmine this year (loved pieing the committee 😍😍)

  3. Learning so much about the ins and outs of the club in general and more of the nitty gritty bits of how everything works.

Why should someone go for this role next year?

  • It's really fun and it also helped me learn everyone's names faster as I was seeing them in the background and hearing them at trainings.

  • If you like knowing how things work behind the scenes this is a good role for you as secretary gets to know a lottttt about how things work, from insurance details to prinks plans for nights out.

  • The majority of the secretary workload is at the start of the semesters, so if you are organised you can have a good portion of your stuff sorted before the college work really sets in.

Head Coach

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. Getting to train with a group of people who really enjoy the sport.

  2. Working with the Assistant Head Coach, Clara, and the rest of the committee to keep training going.

  3. Helping people improve their skills, learn new moves and to see their work paying off in competition.

Why should someone go for this role next year?

If you are confident in your coaching abilities and you want a part to play in organising sessions and competition prep, then tis is the role for you!

Assistant Head Coach

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. Helping members learn new skills and seeing them improve thanks to all their hard work.

  2. Cheering on and supporting everyone at competitions! Every time someone lands their routine or wins a medal, it makes me really really proud.

  3. Planning and running morning trainings and of course the ISTO display!

Why should someone go for this role next year?

You should go for this role if you love trampolining and enjoy coaching other people to help them learn and improve cool skills! Don’t be afraid to go for it even if you are a new or inexperienced coach. Coaching and trampoline experience clearly helps. But this role is more about organizing all our lovely coaches, training sessions and equipment together with the Head Coach. So you should ideally be organised and of course be able to make it to most morning training sessions.

Competitions Officer

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. Getting to be at the forefront of seeing people progress and grow both as a member of the trampoline club and as a trampoline competitor. There is no better feeling than watching everyone become amazing supporters, competitors, judges and more!

  2. Getting to organise fun competitions is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a competitions officer. Even though they take a whole club effort, the feeling of when it pays off is second to none. Giving out medals is probably my favourite competition aspect. Seeing people get excited and realise they CAN do it is the best feeling.

  3. Getting to broaden the horizon of what competitions can be while making behind the scenes aspects of competitions more streamlined is such a personally fulfilling part of being competitions officer. It's what I set out to do at the beginning of the year, and I’m very happy with the way it turned out.

Why should someone go for this role next year?

Being a competitions officer is one of the most rewarding roles I think, mostly because you will always get out of it what you put in. It definitely has its tough moments, but with the support of the club and committee it is truly a breeze. Competitions officer is also an incredibly interactive role with not only UCD but other clubs! You get to make new friends, work together, and meet SO many new faces (mostly new judges). There's still lots of things that can be done with competitions though, such as making them more accessible, making new categories, and possibly even running more competitions!

Public Relations Officer

Three things you liked about your role this year?

  1. I had so much fun designing and organising the new gear for the club. Seeing everyone wear and love my creations was very fulfilling!!!

  2. I enjoyed getting creative with Instagram and taking action pics at comps (shoutout to Lydia for letting me hijack her camera 😉🩵)

  3. I loved getting to interact and connect with people via my role on committee and my role as a coach. Publicly relating to you all is a great honor 🫶🏾

Why should someone go for this role next year?

The role of PRO is honestly so awesome and you should go for it if you like creating, videography and emails! A big part of this role is posting updates on our Instagram in a timely manner and responding to queries from members, so keep that in mind. If you're passionate about how the club is viewed from the outside and want to do your part in showing newcomers how great our club is, then this is the role for you! You also get to interact with other clubs on socials which is always a fun time 🙌🏾
